Thanks to a significant reduction in yield, the grapes were able to mature to a high quality. The wine was stored in a new wooden barrel during fermentation and then matured for 10 months in a larger wooden barrel (not a barrique!) that had been used multiple times. This meant that the powerful character of the wine was "ensnared" with a subtle note of wood. A very special taste experience with a great deal of melting and maturity.

Drinking recommendation: stronger dishes such as roasted poultry, braised rabbit, roasted pork chops, strong cheeses

Drinking temperature: 12° C, decant if necessary

Our company has been managed organically since 1955! In 1971 my father was involved in founding BIOLAND. The association's founding meetings took place in our living room!

While my father mainly farmed vegetables and arable land, we began converting to a winery after taking over in the early 1990s. The varieties Müller-Thurgau, Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, Muscat, Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc and Regent, as well as various newer varieties (“Piwis”) are grown. These varieties are usually made into hearty dry wines without chaptalization and often with the wine's own yeast flora.
